Avoiding widespread power outages during the freezing weather

Coastal Bend residents are hoping that Tuesday night's cold weather doesn't cause any power outages.

CORPUS CHRISTI (KIII NEWS) - Coastal Bend residents are hoping that Tuesday night's cold weather doesn't cause any power outages.

It was just Jan. 3 when weather caused outages that left some 3,000 residents of Corpus Christi's Southside without power for some time. Officials said that outage was caused by a heavy influx of people turning on their heaters.
