Business as usual while thousands are without power

Power outage affects thousands

CORPUS CHRISTI (KIII NEWS) - The power outage did not stop some shoppers in Moore Plaza on Saturday.

According to AEP's website, there were over 2,400 customers without power just after 2:00 p.m.

Police posted up at intersections to direct drivers because even traffic lights were affected.

Target employees said they were still able to make sales.

AEP officials said that a blown circuit at the Airline Substation caused the outage.
