Carvajal pleads not guilty of tampering with evidence in Wood case

33-year-old Magdalena Yvette-Carvajal, who has been charged with tampering and fabricating physical evidence in the homicide case of Breanna Wood, pleaded not guilty in court Thursday.

CORPUS CHRISTI (KIII - 33-year-old Magdalena Yvette-Carvajal, who has been charged with tampering and fabricating physical evidence in the homicide case of Breanna Wood, pleaded not guilty in court Thursday.

Wood went missing back in October of 2016 and her body was found in a wooden box in rural Nueces County. Investigators said she was beaten and then fatally shot.

Carvajal and five others have been charged in the case.

The man accused of murdering Wood, 27-year-old Joseph Tejeda is currently facing four charges including capital murder, engaging in organized crime, tampering with evidence and abuse of a corpse.
