Christmas trees donated to Coastal Bend families

Volunteers from Port of Corpus Christi said the event never gets old.

CORPUS CHRISTI - 200 Christmas trees complete with ornaments were given to deserving families Thursday night at the Home Depot on SPID for the annual Tree for All.

"What does it feel like to get a Christmas tree," Albert Fuentes said. "It feels actually wonderful."

In the past two decades, Tree for All has given away 4,000 trees. The trees came courtesy of the Port of Corpus Christi, NuStar Energy, and Home Depot.

"I like Christmas I like to celebrate with all my friends," Amy Sanchez said. "I get to have more time with my family and gifts."

Volunteers from Port of Corpus Christi said the event never gets old.

"Very rewarding, 48 smiles on the kids what it means to them," Sandy Escobar said. "Some of us are so blessed to have what we have." Sandy Escobar said.
