ARANSAS PASS (KIII NEWS) - The city of Aransas Pass is extending the due date for residents dealing with an increase in water bills. Nearly six hundred customers have already been affected by the 25-percent increase.
Residents say their monthly bill has gone from $200 dollars to nearly $700. Officials are working to determine what caused the problem.
City officials say the utility bills will be due by the 25th of October. No late fees or disconnects will be assessed during this month.
