CORPUS CHRISTI (KIII NEWS) - We're just days away from the Thanksgiving holiday and the City of Corpus Christi is reminding residents to keep their wastewater lines clear of fats, oils and grease.

Fats, oils and grease can be harmful once inside your water lines as they travel to the wastewater plant. The City recommends that you soak all items up with a paper towel and throw it in the trash to avoid any sewage backup.
