CORPUS CHRISTI (KIII NEWS) - Three planes from Naval Air Station-Corpus Christi made their inaugural flight Wednesday into their newly constructed home at the Corpus Christi International Airport.

The planes will operate from the Coast Guard's Valent Hall. The move marks the transition of the Coast Guard's move from NAS-CC to Valent Hall.

Starting in February, helicopters from NAS-CC will also begin their transition marking the end of the Coast Guard's operations onboard the base since 1950.
