CORPUS CHRISTI (KIII NEWS) - The Coastal Bend Food Bank is working to help food pantries in the areas impacted by Hurricane Harvey by offering their support.

The Food Bank is still fighting hunger by providing support to Port Aransas, Rockport, Aransas Pass, and Taft, who are all unable to serve their communities due to damage.

Organizers with the Food Bank believe restoring the agencies is vital to the Coastal Bend.

"People are trying to come back into the community. They are trying to rebuild their homes, and they're trying to restore their lives. This is very much a part of that," Executive Director Bea Hanson said.
