Corpus Christi fireman retires after 35 years

After 35 years of service with the department, Captain James Callis will be hanging up his gear and retiring.

CORPUS CHRISTI (KIII NEWS) - One Corpus Christi Fire Station is celebrating a milestone. After 35 years of service with the department, Captain James Callis will be hanging up his gear and retiring.

Captain Callis is the last of his academy class from 1981. The station threw him a special retirement ceremony yesterday with the crew.
