CORPUS CHRISTI (KIII NEWS) - Corpus Christi's City Council got another earful from citizens Tuesday complaining about the recently built Collier Pool, a public facility near Weber and Gollihar.

Swimmers who frequent the pool complain there are no heaters in the bathhouse, which were promised during public meetings before the renovations began. They also said the pool is often closed because of chlorine problems and staffing shortages.

City Manager Margie Rose said they are making their best efforts with reduced staff due to their current tight budgets. Parks and Recreation Director Jay Ellington said the problems are not being ignored.

Ellington said he hopes to have most of the problems corrected in the next few weeks.
