Motorcyclist killed in accident while fleeing from police

A motorcyclist lost his life in a crash just before 3 a.m. Friday after pfleeing from police during a traffic stop along the 4700 block of the Joe Fulton Corridor.

CORPUS CHRISTI (KIII NEWS) - A motorcyclist lost his life in a crash just before 3 a.m. Friday after fleeing from police during a traffic stop along the 4700 block of the Joe Fulton Corridor.
 
According to the Port of Corpus Christi Police, officers saw two motorcycles going west along Joe Fulton. One had a missing license plate light and officers went to stop the cyclist, but they kept. One cyclist stopped, and then fled again at a high rate of speed, leaving the roadway, striking culvert and crashing head-on into a parked steamroller.
 
The 28-year-old cyclist died at the scene. Police said the motorcycle he was driving turned out to be stolen from somewhere in Corpus Christi.
 
Port police asked the Corpus Christi Police Department to investigate.
