CORPUS CHRISTI (KIII NEWS) - Finding work straight out of college is a challenge for anyone, though millennials seem to be having a more difficult time according to recent surveys. We may have a solution for you.

According to online articles job placement for college graduates has become more difficult over the past ten years. That is why students here at Del Mar College are getting a head start when it comes to planning their future.

Yesterday a job was held at the student center on the East campus. Over 30 employers spoke to students and community members looking for job opportunities here in the Coastal Bend. College student, Luis Ramos talked about how this event is already helping him make some big decisions about joining the military.

"It's an idea that's been in my head, but it didn't come to light until I was able to speak to a recruiter who came to Del-Mar to talk to students about joining the military, in a situation like this."

The event was part of a collaboration with the WorkForce Solutions of the Coastal Bend. Recruiters like the National Guard, The Port of Corpus Christi, and M&G Chemicals were just some of the employers in attendance.

Another job fair with a different set of recruiters will be on the West Campus today from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. located at the Coleman Center.
