Does Black Friday still have an impact on shoppers?

Not quite the adjectives managers used to use for Black Friday, but shoppers agree.

CORPUS CHRISTI (KIII NEWS) - The concerns of if Black Friday still exist has been on many individuals mind, this year the stores saw significantly fewer people. 

Local retailers said online shopping has changed Black Friday and has forced the stores to spread out their deals through the weekend and even into the week.

Shoppers, however, said they enjoy Friday more and were surprised by the lack of people.  
"We went to Kohls just a few minutes ago, and it wasn't bad at all, not a long wait," Jonathan Pfeffer said.

"We're just out shopping. We're not even doing Black Friday sale," Sandra Steele said. 

Retailers added that bigger crowds tend to now come out on Thanksgiving since many stores have started to open in the afternoon and the evening.
