CORPUS CHRISTI (KIII NEWS) - An overnight accident sent one motorcycle driver to the hospital with serious injuries after he collided with another vehicle.
That accident happened Wednesday night around 10:40 on SPID. According to investigators the motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed when it struck another vehicle from behind. The man on the bike was transported to a local hospital with severe head trauma.
Detectives say the man, who appears to be in his 60s, was not wearing a helmet. Police are still determining what led to the crash.
The highway was closed for over an hour as investigators worked to clear the scene.
No charges have been filed against the driver.
