Funds approved for Colonias' water supply

CORPUS CHRISTI (KIII NEWS) - The Texas Water Development Board approves 900-thousand-dollars to Nueces County on behalf of Cyndie Park 2 Water Supply Corporation for water system improvements Thursday.

These funds will help the County with a project that builds a waterline from the Cyndie Park area where the Colonias are located and connects it to the Nueces Water Supply Corporation's existing water system at the Indian Trails subdivision.

This waterline will make it possible for customers of the Cyndie Park 2 Water Supply Corporation and residents of the nearby Ranch subdivision to become new customers of the Nueces Water Supply Corporation.

The project also includes a 100,000-gallon ground storage tank, two 400-gallon-per-minute pumps and other water system improvements.
