Graduation Ceremonies Across The Coastal Bend

CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) - Local high schools from around the area held their graduation ceremonies Friday night. Students from West Oso High School took center stage at the American Bank Center. A total of 108 West Oso graduates walked the stage.

A much larger graduating class from W.B. Ray High School also walked the stage and received their diplomas.

Saturday, Moody, Carroll, Miller and King will graduate at the American Bank Center.

And 23 graduates from the Refinery Terminal Fire Company walked across a smaller stage at the RTFC training academy. After this ceremony, the graduates put on a special fire demonstration.

The group will now join the ranks of trained firefighters who specialize in fighting fires at the local refinery or in the ship channel.

Trinity Vela said, "I was getting my diploma...because we are graduating."

A life long memory for the parents of these young students of the Gulf Coast Council of La Raza Charter School. The 150 students that graduated Friday will be going on to kindergarten next year or the first grade.

Parents, grandparents of course had their cameras out for this special moment.
