High speed chase leads to driver's arrest

The robber has not been identified. Investigators plan to release his name later.

CORPUS CHRISTI (KIII NEWS) - A robber is in police custody after leading officers on a high speed chase on the Westside of town. That chase started just after 11 on Agnes near Mary street.

Detectives say the man, who has not been identified, stole the white truck and then drove to a business on Omaha road. Officers spotted the truck driving off. Police used spikes to stop the vehicle and were able to apprehend the driver. Medics arrived on the scene shortly after the driver stated he had trouble breathing. After observation, the driver was fine. The driver was take to the city detention center where he will face charges of evading arrest and possession of a stolen vehicle. No one was injured.
