Local filmmaker captures residents struggle in Port Aransas

More than three months after Harvey many Coastal Bend areas continue to recover.

CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS (KIII NEWS) - More than three months have passed since hurricane Harvey made landfall in the Costal Bend. The heavy rain and strong winds left damage in areas along the coast.

Filmmakers Dorian Green and LeAnna Morgan worked to capture how residents in Port Aransas have been dealing with the aftermath.

Green and Morgan collaborated on a video that featured areas in the coastal town that were devastated by Harvey and those who lost everything. The video has since been seen and shared on social media thousands of times.

Green says the purpose of the video was to raise attention toward projects like Rebuild Port Aransas Texas and shed light on residents who are still struggling to move forward.
