Local man convicted of bank robbery at Flour Bluff credit union

CORPUS CHRISTI (KIII NEWS) - From the Corpus Christi Federal Courthouse.

A 32-year old man has pleaded guilty to robbing a Navy Army Credit Union.

Last December, Johnathan Borden entered the bank on SPID and Flour Bluff drive threatening a teller and making off with the money.

According to a press released from the Department of Justice, the 32-year old was also connected to a robbery at the Texas Bridge Credit Union on Holly and Kostroyz earlier this year.

Borden faces up to 20-years in prison.

Sentencing is scheduled for February.
