Local Mardi Gras celebration in downtown Corpus Christi

CORPUS CHRISTI (KIII NEWS) - What would a Mardi Gras celebration be without great music and food?

The Blues, Brews and Crawfish Festival is a six hour celebration that takes place at the Solomon Ortiz Center Outdoor Pavilion.

The festival aims to celebrate the history behind 'blues' music while giving musicians the opportunity to play on stage in front of attendees.

The event also has a kid's zone, local vendors, food, beer tasting and of course, Mardi Gras Beads.

Admission is $10 at the door, the event runs from 1 P.M. to 8 P.M. on Sunday.
