Local Police and Fire Department battle in the Toy Bowl

Charity Bowl

CORPUS CHRISTI (KIII NEWS) - College football will take a back seat Saturday morning as the local first responders of the Coastal Bend battle against each other in the annual Toy Bowl.

The C.C. Fire dept, Nueces County Law Enforcement, C.C.P.D., and Robstown PD will hit the gridiron for a competitive game of flag football. The game is played each year, and helps raise funds for toys for local charities.

The game will be held at John Paul II high school, and begins at 9 a.m. All in attendance are encouraged to donate a new unwrapped toy or a monetary donation will also be accepted.
