Local rec centers provide safe Halloween fun

Halloween is now less than a week away and though it can provide plenty of fun scares for families, there are also real dangers to keep an eye out for.

CORPUS CHRISTI (KIII NEWS) - Halloween is now less than a week away and though it can provide plenty of fun scares for families, there are also real dangers to keep an eye out for.

In an effort to make sure kids stay safe, some local rec centers and the Corpus Christi Police Department have some tips to make sure the night remains fun for everybody.

Halloween can be a scary good time for many youngsters, but in an effort to make sure your little goblins stay safe this year, Corpus Christi's five recreation centers are hosting their own sort of trick-or-treat events.

It is a chance to get reacquainted with your local rec center. You can drop by between 5-7 p.m. on Halloween night before trick-or-treating.
