Making the holidays brighter for area shelters

CORPUS CHRISTI (KIII NEWS) - Let's make the holidays a little brighter for some of our less fortunate coastal bend residents. With weather turning cooler, area shelters are asking for your help.

Corpus Christi Metro Ministries needs hygiene products including soap, shampoo, toothbrushes, and deodorant. They are also in need of socks, blankets, and warm winter clothing.

The Salvation Army is looking for bell ringer volunteers for their red kettle campaign. The fundraiser helps the organization provide Christmas dinners and gifts to families in need.

Bell ringers will be out collecting donations throughout town until Christmas Eve.
