Malignant tumor removed from brain of former Corpus Christi mayor

Garrett is 77 years old and is currently in a resting home where he is said to be in good spirits.

CORPUS CHRISTI (KIII NEWS) - Former mayor and police chief of Corpus Christi Henry Garrett had a tumor removed from his brain last week and according to test results, the tumor was found to be malignant.

Garrett said he is currently preparing paperwork for treatment at M.D. Anderson Hospital in Houston. That treatment will include chemo and radiation therapy.

Garrett is 77 years old and is currently in a resting home where he is said to be in good spirits.
