Many on south side lose power after single car accident

CORPUS CHRISTI (KIII NEWS) - Police say a single vehicle accident in a parking lot caused power outage on the south side of town Saturday evening.

It happened in front of Starbucks on Weber and Saratoga when a car hit a pole causing power to go out of the whole area, including traffic lights.

Power was partially restored around 7:30 p.m. in the shopping area.

No arrest was made, and officials are still investigating what caused the accident and are not sure if the driver was distracted.

No injuries were reported.
