Menger Elementary holds school-wide science fair

CORPUS CHRISTI (KIII NEWS) - Students at Menger Elementary School showed off all of their recent hard work Tuesday during their annual science fair.

All students are encouraged to enter the fair, but all third and fifth graders are required to do a project. The students are able to choose their own project, but for those having a hard time, the school held an event to give them some inspiration.

"We had the Moody robotics team come out and do some demonstrations for our students," Assistant Principal Denise Gonzalez said. "We gave out science fair handouts and some ideas and from there, they met with their parents and then got it approved by their teachers, and then they've been slowly working on it."

The top three from third through fifth grades will move on to a district competition. The judges included some police officers and our very own Kiii Meteorologist Alan Holt.
