There are so many stories we found at this years, Wings Over South Texas Air Show in Kingsville including our Military Matters report. We came across a group called the DAV Flight Team who's mission is to fulfill promises to the men and women who served. Thousands of people walked through the gates at NAS Kingsville to experience the sights and sounds at this year's Wings over South Texas Air Show, and among the planes that caught plenty of attention was this beauty, the iconic World War II B-25 Mitchell Bomber. The B-25 gained notoriety in the famed Doolittle raid over Tokyo 71 years ago. Its new mission? Helping raise awareness of disabled veterans across the country. Behind the effort, the DAV Flight Team.
Lynn May with the DAV Flight Team told 3 News, "we've done over 100 shows with this program. We have a veteran come up every show that has a heart wrenching story about how DAV made a difference in their life. It's a passion for us to do this because we really do make a difference."
