Military Matters: Earning Wings at NAS Corpus Christi

Graduates from the latest class of flight students out at NAS Corpus Christi are receiving their wings. Some of these pilots will be heading out for more training on jets, others like Marine 1st Lt. A.J. Peters are going to learn to fly C-130's.  Peters told 3 News, "i'll be headed out to a survival school, followed by the training unit for C-130's. I'll be out at 252 Cherry Point North Carolina."
Lt. Peters says that growing up in Florida, he would watch in amazement as some of the top military pilots in the world would come through town to perform some of their best moves in the sky.
Peters said, "i've been working on this since I was a little boy. Family vacation used to be in Pensacola and I used to see the Blue Angels fly for summer air shows and this is a dream come true for me.
Thankfully there are others who had that same dream and are ready to man our skies. Peters says he's ready to take on that job and more.
Peters said, "personally i feel great i'm ready to go to disney world."
That's probably how all of these pilots feel after earning their wings from NAS Corpus Christi.
