Museum of Asian Cultures prepares for this weekend's 'Taste of Asia' event

People can celebrate the new Lunar New Year and usher in the Year of the Dog with authentic Asian food, artifacts, and festivities.

CORPUS CHRISTI (KIII NEWS) - The Texas State Museum of Asian Cultures and Education Center prepared Monday for their annual "Taste of Asia" event that will be held on the weekend.

People can celebrate the new Lunar New Year and usher in the Year of the Dog with authentic Asian food, artifacts, and festivities.

The purpose of the event is to share the Asian culture and raise funds for the museum, which has been in existence for over 30 years.

Museum representatives said it's the perfect way for the Coastal Bend to experience a new culture without needing a passport.
