CORPUS CHRISTI (KIII NEWS) - Volunteers from the Corpus Christi Independent School District along with members of the community gathered Wednesday morning for Operation KEYS, which stands for Keeping Every Youth in School.

Operation KEYS is an event that is held yearly to target students who have not yet returned to school for the new school year. The aim is to influence youth to attend and finish school.

The event kicked off Wednesday morning with a phone bank at the CCISD administrative building board room, where volunteers made calls to students who have not yet registered. It will continue Saturday morning as volunteers go to the doors of students who have not returned to school.
