CORPUS CHRISTI (KIII NEWS) - Word from the animal advocate group PAAC, or People Assisting Animal Control, is that they are pleased with the success of their latest spay and neuter program this past month.
The organization spayed and neuterered more than 600 dogs and cats here in the Coastal Bend in September, and just over 200 of them were for free! The idea, of course, is to control the overpopulation problem.
They say with the help of specials, mobile units and Animal Care Services, October should be a good month as well.
The targeted spay and neuter program started in April with the help of grants, sponsors and Animal Care Services.
