CORPUS CHRISTI (KIII NEWS) - Corpus Christi police announced Tuesday they are aware of the situation regarding starving dogs at an abandoned house on Sarita, near Baldwin.
Officers said the house suffered damage due to Hurricane Harvey but is still being lived in by the owner. The homeowner is currently working with organizations to become more responsible for their pets, and they will be a part of People Assisting Animal Control's pet retention program.
Corpus Christi Animal Care Services continues to monitor the situation and the investigation is still open.
