CORPUS CHRISTI (KIII NEWS) - A proposed House Bill in the Texas Legislature that would make leaving your dog chained up a misdemeanor has become a viral topic on social media.
No dog likes being locked up, but sometimes it is necessary. However, it becomes dangerous, and potentially illegal, when the animal is chained up and unable to access food, water or shade.
A Texas lawmaker is hoping his new bill will make it a misdemeanor to leave a dog restrained without shelter, shade or drinking water.
Kiii News Reporter Heather Gustafson looked into the proposed bill and came back with more details.
