CORPUS CHRISTI (KIII NEWS) - Another "Stranger Danger" case has surfaced in Corpus Christi, this time an attempted abduction of a little girl as she was walking to school on the west side of town.

This on the heels of several indecent exposure cases and police now need your help in finding the suspect. Officers say the attempted abduction happened at 7:30AM Tuesday morning as a 9-year old girl was walking to school to Garcia Elementary.

That's when police say an older Hispanic man, about 5'8 wearing a yellow t-shirt, pulled up in a dark blue four door passenger car and tried to grab the girl. She was able to escape but police say she absolutely did the right thing by drawing attention to the situation as cars were driving by.

"He got out of the car and attempted to grab her, she started screaming which was the right thing to do, drew attention as other cars were pulling up," says Lt. Chuck Freeman with the Corpus Christi Police Department.

That suspect was last seen heading south down Rosalie Street. Call police at 361-886-2600 if you have any information about this case.
