CORPUS CHRISTI (KIII NEWS) - A non profit group has gone above and beyond the call to service for the Port Aransas community. After the devastation of Hurricane Harvey families of the Port Aransas area were left homeless and no place to call home.
The group Displaced homes for Marlins was formed to help the community, and did they ever. The group had a goal to help 20 families in need with brand new RV homes. The team was able to reach their goal, and on Sunday they surpassed their goal.
The group received an overwhelming amount of donations and were able to purchase more RVs for families. The families who were selected received their new RVs Sunday, and were overwhelmed with joy to witness their new home.
