The public and the power of social media has helped police locate a man who was allegedly exposing himself along the Corpus Christi Bayfront on Saturday.

CORPUS CHRISTI (KIII NEWS) - The public and the power of social media has helped police locate a man who was allegedly exposing himself along the Corpus Christi Bayfront earlier today.  Corpus Christi police released a statement on their Facebook page thanking the community for their involvement and providing officers with information.  The 38 year old man was identified and has been detained.  He's currently being interviewed by detectives.  Earlier a post spread like wildfire on social media.  The 30 second video clip shows the man being confronted by the video taker.  The man did not appear to have pants on. The person behind the camera can be heard questioning him, saying  "what the (expletive) are you doing? There's (expletive) kids here bro!...I already called the cops bro!  Get the (expletive) out of here!"  The man sped away as another driver in his path honked at him to avoid a collision.  The man's name has not been released by authorities.  Police encourage the public to call authorities if they see a crime in progress.  This is a developing story.
