Red Light camera vote delayed by City Council

City Council members took no action on a Citizen's Initiative to repeal the fines associated with those red light cameras around town.

CORPUS CHRISTI (KIII NEWS) - City Council members took no action on a Citizen's Initiative to repeal the fines associated with those red light cameras around town.

Council members decided to wait until the Spring when a new Council will be in place. They say it would also allow enough time to get results of a new study that's meant to determine whether the cameras actually reduce the number of accidents.

Currently there are eleven intersections in Corpus Christi where those cameras are operating.
