CORPUS CHRISTI (KIII NEWS) - Monday marked the first day of the Municipal Court's warrant roundup, so for the next two weeks, those with outstanding tickets can visit the court without fear of arrest.
The roundup will allow anyone to make payment or community service arrangements to satisfy a warrant.
Gabriel Hernandez, Director of the Municipal Court, said payment arrangements are something people take advantage of most.
"They have an option to request a payment plan when they can't afford to pay in full. That's one of the options they have. If they can't afford to pay, they can see a judge, definitely see a judge to request permission to do community service, or sometimes be found indigent depending on their circumstances," Hernandez said.
Payment options include appearing in person at Municipal Court on North Chaparral Street, paying in full online on the court's website, by mail or depositing payment in the drop box located near the Court.
