CORPUS CHRISTI (KIII NEWS) - The 36th annual Turkey Chase helps raise money for charity along with making room for your Thanksgiving feast!

The run is organized by the Corpus Christi Roadrunners and the Coastal Bend Running Club, and it helps promote a healthy lifestyle while giving back to the community. Runners picked up their packets Wednesday at Twisted Murphy's downtown.

"You know you feel good when you run and work it off and your frustrations," runner Mary Fischer said. "It might be cold and windy, but get your run on."

The race kicks off at 7 a.m. Thursday behind Heritage Park. For more information, visit www.corpusroadrunners.com.
