Salvation Army's Red Kettle program in need of donations

It's been a tough year for the Coastal Bend, what with Hurricane Harvey and all -- but the generosity of residents continues to bless those in need.

CORPUS CHRISTI (KIII NEWS) - It's been a tough year for the Coastal Bend, what with Hurricane Harvey and all -- but the generosity of residents continues to bless those in need.

However, one organization, in particular, is experiencing what's being called "donor fatigue."

The Salvation Army bell ringers are in desperate need of donations this year. Lt. Laura Gesner said the Salvation Army's Red Kettle program has fallen short of its goal. In fact, they're down about $100,000 from their goal of $250,000.
