San Diego home raided for black tar heroin, two arrested

The Central South Texas Criminal Investigation Unit announced Tuesday the results of a black tar heroin bust in the small community of San Diego.

SAN DIEGO (KIII NEWS) - The Central South Texas Criminal Investigation Unit announced Tuesday the results of a black tar heroin bust in the small community of San Diego.

34-year-old Ronnie Rodriguez and 35-year-old Rosalinda Lopez were arrested in an operation that took place last Friday. The raid was conducted in the 500 block of East Dix Avenue.

Inside the residence, authorities found nearly 18 grams of black tar heroin. They said it was ready for street distribution.

Rodriguez and Lopez were charged with manufacturing and delivery of a controlled substance.

The Duval County Sheriff's Office and the San Diego Police Department helped in the operation.
