Southside residents without gas after contractor hit gas line

About 200 southside residents were left without natural gas service Thursday evening after a gas line was struck by a private contractor Wednesday.

CORPUS CHRISTI (KIII NEWS) - About 200 southside residents were left without natural gas service Thursday evening after a gas line was struck by a private contractor Wednesday.
 
The homes affected are near Airline and Williams. City crews have been working since 5:30 p.m. Wednesday to repair the gas line.
 
Officials said the gas is expected to begin flowing again sometime around 7 p.m. Thursday.
