CORPUS CHRISTI (KIII NEWS) - Local middle school and high school students painted the town pink during a breast cancer awareness walk Friday.

Students and staff at Bishop Garigga Middle Prepatory School and St. John Paul II High School came together with the mayor's office and cancer survivors to walk in honor of those battling breast cancer.

This year the walk was led by the Corpus Christi Fire Department and their big pink fire truck.

This is the third year the schools have held the walk, and they plan to keep the tradition going.
