SUV wanted for striking fire hydrant

It was a real mess this morning near a busy Southside intersection.

CORPUS CHRISTI (KIII NEWS) - It was a real mess this morning near a busy Southside intersection. Corpus Christi police tell us that a white SUV struck a fire hydrant on Saratoga near Staples. That SUV fled the scene.

Police say the driver of the SUV not only faces fa fine for leaving the scene of an accident, but also faces a fine for the damage done. Work crews estimate the damge to be about $15,000 worth.
