TAMUCC volunteers help Rockport residents clean up debris

University officials said their students will be involved in similar projects this spring.

CORPUS CHRISTI (KIII NEWS) - Rockport residents still struggling in the wake of Hurricane Harvey got a helping hand Tuesday from employees of Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.

The volunteers spent some time along Sunset Drive cleaning up debris. They were among about 150 university employees who wanted to do something to give back on this Giving Tuesday.

University officials said their students will be involved in similar projects this spring.
