Temporary Stop to the 4 state oil pipeline

The federal government has ruled to temporarily stop the four-state oil pipeline protested by the "Standing Rock Sioux" tribe in North Dakota.

CORPUS CHRISTI (KIIINEWS) - Three federal agencies appealed to the pipeline company to voluntarily pause work on a section tribal officials say holds sacred sites and artifacts. That appeal came just minutes after a U.S. district judge denied the tribes attempt to halt the construction of the Dakota access pipleine that skirts the reservation. The 3.8-billion dollar pipeline is intended to carry oil from North Dakota to Illinois.
