CORPUS CHRISTI (KIII NEWS) - Texas Land Commissioner George P. Bush announced Tuesday the release of an action plan for the initial allocation of nearly $58 million for Hurricane Harvey recovery, some of which will help the Coastal Bend.
Bush shared that the Texas General Land Office posted the action plan for the use of the first allocation in a community development block grant and they will be up for public comment until Feb. 1.
Approximately $10.8 million will be used for affordable rental activities in Aransas, Nueces, and Refugio counties to begin the recovery of much-needed workforce housing in areas impacted by Harvey.
