Texas State Aquarium sees spike in visitors

Spring Break is not even over and the Texas State Aquarium is already reporting a spike in visitors.

CORPUS CHRISTI (KIII NEWS) - Spring Break is not even over and the Texas State Aquarium is already reporting a spike in visitors.

Compared to this time last year, the Aquarium reports an 11-percent increase in guests.

Last weekend alone they had over 17,000 visitors. The less-than-ideal Spring Break weather led vacationers and locals to the Aquarium to enjoy the aquatic wildlife exhibits, flower gardens and everyone's favorite dolphin shows.
