Trial date set for man accused of killing 94-year-old mother

A trial date has been set for the man accused of murdering his 94-year-old mother back in August.

CORPUS CHRISTI (KIII NEWS) - A trial date has been set for the man accused of murdering his 94-year-old mother back in August.

75-year-old Leslie Nelson went before Judge Missy Medary in the 347th District Court Wednesday and entered a plea of not guilty in the shooting death of his mother, 94-year-old Vivian Nelson, at a home on High Arch Court.

Police said Vivian was found dead in her wheelchair from a gunshot wound to the head.

Nelson's trial has been set to begin Jan. 8.
