Triumph over Kid Cancer brings area teens together for holiday workshop.

CORPUS CHRISTI (KIII NEWS) - With Christmas quickly approaching, some area high schools joined together on Saturday for the "Do That One Thing" holiday workshop.

10 Corpus Christi high schools were in attendance at the First United Methodist church, participating in multiple fun arts and crafts stations. A number of miniature trees were decorated and will soon be donated to cancer patients at Corpus Christi, San Antonio, and Houston area hospitals.

Triumph over Kid Cancer is hosting the event. TOKC is a South Texas based non profit organization, which was founded by Corpus Christi native, James Ragan back in 2010. Ragan fought for seven and a half years and worked tirelessly to gain awareness for Children's cancer.

Ragan's dream continues to live on as his organization has already raised more than $3 million for pediatric cancer research.
